Adapting fast to changing conditions is a prerequisite for companies, organizations, and people seeking to stay healthy and grounded. Complex conditions in the world, between ecological breakdown, climate change, and the after-effects of the COVID interruption, beg for a response that benefits all.
The issues faced by humanity, (and business) are rooted in old thinking based on hero leadership, not collective thinking or doing. Add to that political dynamics which beg for a power-with approach. I am reminded of former Prime Minister of Canada Kim Campbell who said,
I have always believed that governments must adapt to the needs of the people, not the other way around!
